London Themed Event
Theme Description
Walk under the overhead arched sign before walking down the stairs, and pushing through the turnstile. As you approach the tunnel, you’ll begin to hear the sounds of tubes rushing along the lines.
Follow the signs to the City and this will take you along the tube station platform, walls filled with adverts, art and underground maps. Each exit you pass from the main corridor will be signposted towards various different lines. Wander along this platform, against the rush of wind blowing towards you, until you reach the sign for the City off to your right, and enter this tunnel towards diminishing daylight.
Emerge from the tube at Blackfriars, next to the river. As you stand at Blackfriars and look to your right, a bridge disappears into the distance, and at the end of this bridge you can make out an impressive silhouette of the London skyline with Big Ben, the Tower of London and London Bridge all visible against the setting sun backdrop. In front of this beautiful London backdrop the London Eye rotates, giving its guests an even better view of the City of London.
In the centre of the room are traditional streetlamps and railings marking out a square, in which a stage has been set up. On this various entertainment is taking place throughout the evening. Surrounding this area, trees twinkle with tiny lights, giving the room an outdoor square feel.
