Theme Description
As you join the parade making its way to the front of The Royal Palace you’ll see camels standing to either side of you.
As in the olden days of Maharajas returning from war, rose petals have been scattered around the entrance, and traditional Indian music drifts out to welcome you.
Walk through the grand palace entrance and the aroma of incense greets you. The entrance tunnel is richly draped with fabric, and any doors showing, have mosque shaped arches above them.
Indian style pots and plants stand to either side of you, and the music drifts along with you until you find it’s source in the reception area. The reception area is decorated in traditional Indian style, with occasional low level tables and huge floor cushions scattered around this. Arches are seen over the bar area and doors. As the musicians in the reception area cease, and silence falls on the Indian Palace, you make your way through the main arch at the far end of the area. As you walk through this, the lights will spring into action and the music strikes up, and the Bollywood atmosphere hits you.
Combine the ambience of traditional India, and all of its rich fabrics and here you will find our Party Palace for the evening. On the stage, large flats in red and gold show arches of a brightly coloured Indian Palace. Flambos burn large artificial flames at either side of the stage, leaving the central space free for performers. In the centre of the stage, stands a cut-out of the goddess Durga, with 8 arms, representing Shakti and the divine force.
Table centres will be an arrangement of an imitation sabre, with gold chains and jewels dripping down from these.
