Biggles Themed Event
Theme Description
The venue for the evening will be themed in a wartime English style with a plane as party theme.
Walk through the traditional lamp post and railings entrance way until it opens up into a large airfield.
At the far end of the room various different shapes and sizes of 2D traditional planes hang silhouetted in front of a sunset backdrop with lighting.
A character cut-out of Biggles and Archy stand to either side of the walkway pointing you in the right direction for your table for the evening.
Take your seat for dinner, and you will see that the stage is set with sandbags all the way along, and in the centre the entrance to an air raid shelter can be seen. A sound system will be situated within this shelter and a compere will play background music whilst you eat.
Around the room Union Jack Flags hang from corrugated tin building fronts, and bunting joins between them, whilst other Biggles characters such as Ginger and Bertie stand in salute position.
Red and Blue up-lighting enhances these air raid shelters surrounding the room, whilst intelligent lighting spins around the room with biplane shaped gobos, and search lights roam across the stage area from side to side.
In the centre of the tables are revolving table centres with traditional style planes attached to the top of a 60cm acrylic pole and lights at the base.
