Theme Description
It is the last week in July and all of the Sugar has been harvested, those who were busy now need to celebrate.
It’s that time of year again that all the Cuban’s love, time for the celebratory carnival. As you enter the venue the drums begin to beat and the party atmosphere is obvious immediately with colour everywhere Moving towards the main room, guests make their way past the Spanish colonial architecture, with crumbling plaster and paint, and cut-outs of large American 50's cars parked along the side as the roads are closed today for the carnival.
At the end of this street you will emerge into a room filled with a fantastic explosion of colour. This is the central square where the main action of the carnival takes place.
A large Carnival Float stands at the front of the room covered with flowers and feathers, whilst aboard this 2 carnival girs pose. Behind this hangs a sunset backdrop, bordered on either side by more Cuban buildings, with colourfully lit palm trees and silk flame burners in the foreground. In front of the float stage set, a stone trellis adorned with pretty vines and climbing plants, tropical birds and twinkle lights stands over the dance floor.
Table centres will be a spectacular display, made from vibrantly coloured feather plumes, on top of illuminated martini glasses with 55 cm round mirrors beneath.
Be prepared to jump onto the dance floor and prepare to party the night away in true Cuban Carnival style.
